Pen Portrait of Emma Amos
Parent Governor

I have been a governor at Hadrian School for almost ten years. My governor journey began as a parent governor, and I am now proud to serve as a co-opted governor. During this time, I have had the privilege of supporting the school as it continues to provide outstanding opportunities for its pupils and their families.

I am also a governor at Sir Charles Parsons School, giving me the opportunity to support two exceptional specialist schools and contribute to the wider SEND community.

I have extensive experience working with children and adults with additional needs, both professionally and through my own lived experience. Over the years, I have worked across a wide range of schools throughout the region, developing a strong understanding of inclusive education and the importance of partnership working.

Alongside my governance roles, I am a full-time Pilates and wellness instructor and co-founder of the SEND Club, a community initiative that supports children, adults and families with additional needs through inclusive activities, wellbeing and connection.

I am passionate about championing the voices of children and young people with additional needs and helping ensure they have every opportunity to thrive. Being a governor at Hadrian School is a role I value enormously, and I am proud to be part of such a dedicated, compassionate and inspiring school community.
